WHAT TO KNOW..........WHAT TO DO.......WHAT TO BRING
Here at Gale Winds we make SAFETY priority number 1.
What to know
- Your guns will arrive unloaded and remain unloaded until your guide gives the command to load up.
- You will not shoot a crippled bird on the ground unless requested by your guide.
- Your guide will direct you in proper shooting conduct within the blind or pit.
- Your guide will call the shots!
- You shoot the decoys, you buy them. Just kidding!!!
- Seriously folks, any infraction of the safety rules may result in hunt termination. So listen to your guide and have fun.
What to Do
- Know your firearm. Don't wait till the day before you arrive to break out your new shot gun.. Practice, practice, practice and it will greatly improve your odds in the field.
- Prepare during the off season. Muddy hikes to and from the pit are no cake walk. Wading through a marsh is no stroll down to Dunkin Donuts.
- Notify us if you have physical disabilities so that we can accommodate you.
- Dress appropriately. Hunting conditions will vary from cold and windy to cold and rainy to down right bone chilling nasty. Cold feet are the number one hunt spoiler.

- Firearm: 12 gauge shot gun
- Ammo: double BB'S 1500fps
- Hip boots/wader and rubber knee highs, or LL Bean style boots
- Uninsolated rain gear as well as thermal bibs and parka
